The former Wimbledon champion and one of the best athletes, Andy Murray had a clever go at the American president Donald Trump, who claimed that he turned down Time Magazine’s offer to be named as the Person of the Year.
Andy Murray took a hilarious crack, at the president, who wrote in response that he had turned down BBC for sports personality of the year award.
Trump who earlier took it to twitter wrote “Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year,” like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!”

Having heard the news Andy could not resist himself from mocking the President and tweeted: “BBC just called to say I was PROBABLY going to be named sports personality of the year but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!”

American comedian too joined in later tweeting: “Hollywood just called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named the next James Bond but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!”
President Trump received a lot of banter following his tweet. However, people argue that having said ‘no’ could also be a strategic move.
