DDA Housing Scheme 2021 has been launched under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Housing for All (Urban). Therefore, applicants can use the AAWAS software for applications and updates about the DDA flats. According to the official brochure, while possession and payment can be done online, a visit to the DDA office is needed for the conveyance deed.

Special condition for EWS

If an EWS applicant manages to secure a flat in the scheme, he/she is not allowed to sell, transfer ownership, or share possession with an external party for 5 years.

Reviving real estate

The response, despite soaring prices above Rs 1 crore for various flats, has been overwhelming. Experts say that this move could trigger the revival of real estate in the capital followed by other states. Online access has improved the process by miles, thereby enabling people to exercise their purchase power built throughout 2020.
